Research
We study the science behind decisions, with a specific focus on mechanisms of choice behavior and cognitive resonance. Using a novel approach of integrated study, we investigate the interrelated composition of external perception and internal decision frameworks.
Our current flagship study is a joint effort between Dr. Pembroke and Prof. Kevin Wilkins from the Department of Astrophysics. The two distinguished researchers became acquainted when Dr. Pembroke gave a guest presentation on the resonances between particle physics and human cognition at the University of Cambridge, where Professor Wilkins was completing his Master’s degree. Their ongoing collaboration focuses on the intersection of neurophysiological processes and quantum mechanics in regards to decision phenomena.
